Esqueleto Explosivo 2 Slot Review

Five years after the release of Esqueleto Explosivo by Thunderkick, the slot developer decided to follow it up with a sequel – EsqueletoExplosivo2. Inspired by the Mexican celebration termed as the Day of the Dead, this slot comes exciting features.

For instance, look out for the Dropping Symbols feature that allows you to win multiple times courtesy of new symbols with each win increasing the Mucho Multiplier to 32x. there’s also a Bonus Game feature where you’ll get free spins with wilds. Multipliers here can hit 64x.

Gameplay

The gameplay in Esqueleto Explosivo 2 is an improvement from the original. Instead of 17 paylines, you’ll have 99 connecting paylines. This means winning combos will start from 3 to 5 symbols that touch either horizontally or diagonally on adjacent reels starting from the first.

Esqueleto Explosivo 2 also employs the cascading symbols feature but in this slot, it’s called the Dropping Symbols feature. The symbols involved in forming a winning combination will disappear and new ones will take their place.

To join the celebrations, you’ll need to fish out a minimum of 10 cents but if you have deep pockets you can opt for the maximum wager that stands at $100.

Symbols

The symbols are another aspect of the slot that hasn’t seen much change. Similar to the original, the skulls fall onto the bodies of the musicians. They are 6 in total – a blue skull, a pink skull, a green skull, a cyan skull, an orange skull, and a purple skull.

The latter is more decorated, with roses and earrings and is also the most lucrative. For 3, 4 or 5 in a combo, you’ll get 1, 2 or 5 times your total bet.
There’s an Explosivo wild symbol (an orange/yellow skull wearing sunglasses) that will only appear on the 3 central reels (reels 2, 3, and 4). As expected, the wild replaces other symbols on the reels apart from the scatter symbol played by the purple skull.

Bonuses

Mucho Multiplier Feature
Should the wild symbol appear, it will blow other adjacent symbols – between 3 and 8 symbols. This will depend on where the wild appears. Now, if you form a win when a symbol drops when at least 1 Explosivo wild appears, the Mucho Multiplier will activate.

This multiplier will increase one level every time up to 32x.

Bonus Game Feature
Land at least 3 purple skull scatter symbols and you’ll trigger the Bonus Game feature. The number of scatter symbols activating the feature will determine how many free spins you’ll get:

For 5 scatters, you’ll receive 14 free spins

The graphics don’t deviate much from the original, with everything looking more or less the same.

Verdict

Thunderkick outdid itself in Esqueleto Explosivo 2 with improvements in almost every section. The RTP gets a slight jolt similar to the volatility.

It’s also commendable that Thunderkick maintained most of the original aspects of the slot but incorporated the players’ desires. This is about to the bonus features that offer bigger multipliers. With that, players also get a new massive payout – 5,000 times the bet.
